Hyperallergic takes a deep dive

In this edition of the APN Wire:
Does anyone else feel like 2021 is going by at lightspeed?!  I know I do.  I am starting to worry about getting things done, and it seems that I am not the only one.  How have your projects taken off? What new post quarantine tips and tricks have you found in the new normal?

In this issue, I have shared many of the processes and vendors that I have found during my pre and post-quarantine workflow. Check out Turtle crate and remind yourself of their new innovations in not only crating, but also in equipment.  They have some tools to help you work smarter and not harder.  Also, I hope my latest podcast will help you in devising a framing plan that streamlines your workflow and decision-making processes.  There are so many unique elements to what we do, we have to find ways to streamline some things.

Check out the other resources and webinars.  Not only am I sharing things I know and use, but also recommendations for sources I trust.  I can’t wait to dig into the Plastics in Peril webinar series.  If you have polymers in your collection this virtual conference is something you should check out.

Finally, take a look at the articles section to learn about projects in our community that have been working and some that haven’t.  From stalled museum construction projects to museums 32 feet underwater…there are some really interesting attempts to change the face of museums out there.  Collections care is going to be a unique concept for many of us in the future.

However you feel as your summer wraps up, I hope it is positive about the way forward.  Please let me know if I can ever help you gain momentum and make a plan.  Sometimes it just helps to have an outside viewpoint.  Please be well and stay safe!
