Greetings from APN,

Here’s hoping your Year of the Tiger is starting off with a roar.  I know for many it’s going to be packed full of challenges, and APN is here to help where we can.  Many art pros all over are taking control of what is going on around them and looking for a change.  Check out our article section to learn about some art pros looking to make a difference in our community in new and exciting ways.  From those Bay Area pros making a stand for healthy workplaces to senior managers looking to hire more staff to create healthy expectations, many people in our industry are looking to make a difference.

I hope you will take a moment and listen to my latest podcast.  I have successfully helped negotiate changes in several institutions I have worked with, and you can too.  There are productive ways to make advanced improvements where you are if you create a truly undeniable argument and advocate for yourself.  It’s a good place to start if you can see potential in your current situation.

Finally, check out the resource section for some great opportunities.  SFAC is always a consistent place to look for projects to get involved with and people to add to your network.  Also, I am running a search for an internship program in the Bay Area for collections and conservation students.  Take a look and reach out if you are interested in more information.

Take a tip from the tigers out there and roar into this new month and year.  It’s not a time to be shy!
 Be Well.
Kelly
