NFTs and the Academy Museum…

In this edition of the APN Wire:

October has been full of trolls, goblins, and ghosts here at Art Pro Net.  It is either the true spirit of the season or Mercury was definitely in retrograde.  I want to start by apologizing to all of our supporters and listeners out there.  There has not been a new episode of the podcast in a bit and the newsletter had some computer glitches last issue.  I hope you are sticking with me, and now that my tech and toys are back in working order I am going to rediscover my rythym.  Keep an ear and eye out for a new episode this weekend.

This issue has some awesome info and opportunities and I hope you will take advantage of it all.  First off, I want to give a big shout-out to some new connections at Iron Mountain…aka Crozier Fine Arts here in LA.  They are having a virtual job fair online NEXT WEEK!  All you need is an updated resume and a reservation.  If you are in LA and looking for a solid full-time gig, I recommend setting up a spot.

Speaking of fun gigs!  I am looking forward to a lot of the events happing with PACCIN in the future.  LA peeps are invited to a picnic potluck on Nov 13th and can sign up through the link in the resources.  Also, they are looking for submissions for presentations at the upcoming 2022 conference at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. I am hoping the world just keeps getting safer so that I can make it to the event.  Hope to see you there!

Another theme running through this issue is all about museums looking for new ways to do business.  Check out the articles about everything from NFTs to censorship on the web.  Institutions are really working to find new ways to make space literally and figuratively.  Take a look at what art pros see as the future to the survival of our community.

I want to thank you all again for your patience this month.  I hope that my challenges sucked up as much of the crazy October energy and it has been smooth sailing for you all.  If not, and APN can do anything to help you right the ship please reach out and let me know.  I would love to know what you are doing and help you connect with art pros all over.  Be well and Happy early Halloween!
