In this edition of the APN Wire:

I don’t know about you all but I can not believe 2019 is almost over.  It has been a whirlwind year in so many ways.  Our community has been challenged with major shifts in workers’ rights, pay equity and organizational awareness.  There are some aspects and expectations about our industry that took a hard leap into the future, and I am hoping 2020 is a year of growth in both how we work and how we are viewed by others in the arts community.

I am so excited by the way Art Pro Net has grown, the people we have connected with by helping them find great spots to grow as professionals through recruitment, training, and networking.  There have been many of you that have been open and honest with me about what you need from our community, and I want to thank you for your support and frankness.  I am really hoping that APN can be a positive resource for the Bay Area and beyond.

This will be our last edition for 2019, and I can’t wait to come back to you in 2020.  We will be working on all sorts of new improvements including some newsletter redesign, an opportunities section for all of California, and more episodes of our podcast.  Also, keep a lookout for information coming next Spring on Art Linx 2020!  I hope that we can find new ways to strengthen and broaden the awareness of what we do so that we can all continue to do what we love.

Thank you to everyone who subscribes and supports.  Happy Holidays, and here’s to an amazing New Year!
