In this edition of the APN Wire:

Well, I hope your Groundhog Day was a fun one…and not like Bill Murray’s…I love that movie.  Check out my latest podcast to hear my tips on how to make sure your cataloging processes so they won’t end up on repeat.  We all know most collection damage takes place during handling, so getting all the information you need the first time is crucial.

In honor of Valentine’s Day next week there are a few highlights in this edition that are about some of the people and things I love… like the Disney Family Museum.  If you have not been to visit, make the trip!  It is a beautiful day in a wonderful space, and there is some fantastic mount work there by some of my favorite art pros.  Shout out to Denise Fordham and Harvey Newman!

Also, a blast from the past!  Check out Jean Shin’s installation artwork at the Asian Art Museum.  This is an artist I worked with many years ago, and Marc Mayer has worked his magic to put this project together.  I can’t wait to see it.

Finally, check out this chock-a-block full opportunities issue including our Featured Opportunity.  Another favorite art pro of mine, Marco Centin, is looking for someone to work with him in the exhibition design department at the Asian Art Museum.  It is a great chance to work with an amazing person and collection.  Reach out now if you want to get your foot in the door with APN.

Hope you find something to love this month!
