In this edition of the APN Wire:
I don’t know about you, but I am feeling a little more like my pre-COVID self!  So much is opening up and I hope that everyone is starting to find ways to safely get back to being involved in the art world.  This issue is full of information to help you build your careers and access the art pro community.

Check out the Bucket List for some amazing opportunities for art pros, and keep their deadlines in mind.  One of my favorite groups, Art Handlxr*, has an open call that helps raise the profile of underrepresented art handlers in the Bay Area.  Act fast though, because their deadline for submissions is May 1st.  Also, one of my favorite SoCal programs, DAP at The Broad is coming back and taking applications.  This is a fantastic program that is creating a whole new level of access by training and placing art handlers in institutions all over the LA Area.

Speaking of applying, don’t miss my latest podcast about applying for gigs.  I talk about my top 5 things to avoid when you’re putting in that application.  You should be ready since there are tons of new positions opening up.  It is another issue full of new posts in all areas of California.  Check out our featured opportunities and reach out if you are interested in getting more information.  I hope I can help you get the edge you need to make a connection.

Don’t forget to reach out if I can help you with searches, resumes, or any projects.  I am always excited to make a new connection.  Be well!
