Check out this dynamic new resource on tapestries and how they are cared for.

In this edition of the APN Wire:

What an amazing couple of weeks!  I had a flood of people reaching out with new opportunities for art pros in the Bay Area.  It is awesome to see the need for hires coming back to our area and thanks to all the people who reached out to share their searches.  I am so excited for the opportunity to spread the word.  There are some fantastic full-time, part-time, and apprentice positions opening up.  Check out the Featured opportunities section in this edition and apply today!

We have also seen a lot of news about unprecedented changes going on in the museum community.  Some changes are good and will help broaden the diversity of our institutions.  Sadly, some changes come with the closing of many organizations.  Take a look at our resource section to see an older, but well-structured tool from the Western Museum Association.  It is a self-assessment manual to help you judge the health and strength of your organization.

Finally, take some time to discover a brand new resource from one of APN’s favorite people, Yadin Larochette.  This new book explored the intricate world of tapestries from both the angle of a skilled weaver and the analytics of a conservator.  It goes through detailed instructions to help you understand your collection and how you can care for it.  Also, take a look at the new Take 5 series from Tru Vue.  They have been a great supporter of APN, and their products really do bring a whole new level to display options.

Thanks again to everyone reaching out and sharing the opportunities and new info they have discovered.  Keep it coming and we will be happy to add it to the pipeline.

Thanks for being a part of the APN community.  Be Well!
