Planning casework for accessibility and safety

Episode 21

Following up on last weeks episode about egress, I hope this episode helps clarify tips and tricks for planning your casework.  We discuss heights for 2-D works and wall cases, table cases, and platforms.  Also, I delve into label placement and size.  Planning these parts of an exhibition while keeping ADA in mind can not only welcome everyone into your space, it can also keep your casework and collection safe.  Visitors will interact with your space however they need to in order to see your signage and collection, and if it is not easily accessible they can cause damage unintentionally.  Protect your visitors, space, and institution by keeping all perspectives in mind.
