How are you handling things these days? This issue of The Wire goes out to all of you art pros that move it and hopefully do not shake it.  I am so excited to see the press about handling, moving, and other collections care folks.  We need to bring our back-of-the-house teams to the forefront more often and celebrate all they do to keep the plates spinning, and for some installations that could be literal.

Check out this edition’s articles and read about all the excellent work being managed out there by teams at the Peterson and Harvard museums.  Whether you are moving a car or creating the pedestal that it is going to land on, you are making our world possible.  I hope everyone appreciates how much we need the preparators, collections managers, installers, mount makers, registrars…or preprestrars as I like to call some of you…for all that we do.

Speaking of making things, the resource section has info about mount makers, artists, fellowships, and virtual programs to help build a stronger community.  Check out Cultural Connections new program offerings including the Demystifying Unions program on February 27th.  Sign up today!

Finally, I hope that if you are looking for a new opportunity you will check out the Featured Opportunities and posts.  I am helping Preservation Arts search for new members to join their amazing team. If you are interested, reach out today.  I am also taking on clients for resume reviews and consulting.  I would love to help you make the best impression you can.  Reach out today at connect@artpronet.com and let me know how I can add value to your process.
